Hey y'all! My name is Kayla Melvin and I am the sole creator behind the jewelry and accessories that Carter James has to offer! I was born and raised in Harrisburg, PA and moved to West Chester, PA for college. After graduating with my bachelors in Cell and Molecular Biology, I began a career in medicine and clinical research. After a year of working, I realized that I needed a creative outlet outside of work to pursue. I began making earrings and other jewelry for myself and my friends. Before I knew it, I had way to much inventory to wear by myself and thus Carter James Co. was born! We started as an in-person only vendor, but recently decided to transition to online selling as well. We are SO glad that you are here on this website. Everything that I make for sale is curated individually with an immense amount of love and care!
